20th July 2010 (Updated 12.08.10): Just to let you know, a set of 30 Vocal Scores for Me and My Girl has now arrived. I think I have bought enough libretti for the main characters. If you want one yourself, I do suggest you get one from Amazon, etc. They are about £7.95 . We do not do photocopies.

18th June 2010 (Updated 12.08.10): Subscriptions for the coming year, which are due to be paid now, and definitely at first rehearsal on 2nd September, have been set at £25, plus £10 towards your costumes. This was decided by the Committee, after heated discussion, and we hope you will think it reasonable. Please get payments to Cynthia Yates, our new Treasurer, when you can. She will be at our first Me and My Girl rehearsal at Pensans School on Thursday 2nd September from 7pm. Please note that anyone who has difficulty in paying may approach Cynthia, who will come to an arrangement about payment in confidence.

(20th May): Well, thank the Lord that's over ! I hate AGM's. Anyway, we all got the message: we all have to work harder, get committed and be less apathetic (there's a new word ).
I hope you thought the meeting went ok. AGM's are always a bit chaotic, but you gave the committee lots of ideas which we must act on. It's all for the good.

(1st May): Anyone got a hardback Vocal Score for Brigadoon, please ? We seem to be one short, and the Library has to charge us £30 for a replacement. ASAP, if you will.

(4th February):
This is where the Me and My Girl standard picture should go.........
but they want us to pay about £250 for the use of it.
Sorry. NO WAY !!
By a substantial majority............so let's all get on board and make it a wonderful show. I am still awaiting confirmation by the Rights Holders that we can actually put it on. They have intimated that all will be well, but I'd like to get that confirmation. Hey Ho. Let's be positive.

(2nd November): ATTENDANCE.
Let's get this over with.......Of course, I am aware that we all have lives outside PAOS (well, most of us have); but how many times do we have to be reminded about letting "the management" know if we are not going to attend a rehearsal ? We know that it is difficult to rehearse when we have to make a gap for someone, etc etc. I won't go on. SO, will you please just leave a message with me on my mobile (07803 214428) if you can't turn up. I won't bite your head off (much). Things happen. Not many have a 100% record of attendance. Just let others know, will you ? Thank you.
***************************************************************************************************************************************************
NOW LOOK HERE....................
As everyone knows, the cost of postage, ink, paper, etc etc are major factors for all Socieies. Our Committee, and especially our esteemed Treasurer, will be forever grateful for the cost of these items to be reduced....... so as much PAOS information as possible will be sent to Members by e-mail from now on. The Hon Sec has the e-mail addresses of many members, but he is sure that there are more he hasn't got.
To this end, will every Member reading this site contact the Hon Sec by e-mail, so that his list may be updated ? Many thanks.
