Penzance Musical Theatre Company

ABANDON SHIP !
As you probably will realise, we have had to postpone this year's big show in April, because of you-know-what.
Ticket money will be refunded by www.ticketsource.co.uk (click on our Ticket page more info), and those who paid by cheque or cash should have received their refunds already.

Of course, we are very upset about this, but we expect to do this show in April 2021, so keep looking at this website and our Facebook Page.

Thank you to everyone for your continued support.

About Us

The company started in 1927 with a production of Iolanthe, which has been performed a total of four times, only beaten by The Mikado, which has been performed 6 times. We currently stage one main production a year, usually at Easter, at the lovely Zennor Theatre at Penwith College, Penzance, and put on concerts and other events throughout the year, where we raise funds for local charities.

It's not always as frightening as this !

We range from 15 years of age upwards. Not only are we full of talented singers, actors and dancers, but we also have a great backstage and production team. Without all the help behind the scenes no show would go on. We are so grateful for everyone’s support.
Cole Porter's famous show 'ANYTHING GOES', set on board the liner SS American, was going to be our production at Easter 2020, but due to the CV19 pandemic it has had to be postponed.  We are trying to get the performing rights for 2021.
When up and running again, rehearsals will be in Landithy Hall at Madron.  Please keep looking at this site and on our Facebook page for updates.
If you feel you have something to offer on or off stage, do please get in touch.

Friends - Patrons

We are very fortunate to have a large group of people who support us.
Throughout the year we contact them to let them know what we are doing,
so that they can attend the shows, concerts and other events.
These Friends also have priority booking for our annual big show,
and have their names printed in the show programme. The Zennor Theatre at Penwith College
can only accomodate an audience of 150, so seats are usually sold out quickly.
By supporting us, Friends have a booking advantage.
Should you wish to become an official Friend, do please let us know, using the Contact Us page.
Donations of £5 (and more !) are very welcome.
