Penzance Musical Theatre Company

Our next big show, to be from 6th to 11th April 2020, is "ANYTHING GOES", the famous musical by Cole Porter, P G Wodehouse and others, set on board the liner SS America. There are loads of well-known songs, and everyone will have a great time, both cast and audience.

Rehearsals started on 3rd October 2019, so if you would like to be a part of this show, do please send an email to using the Contact Us button, or go to our Facebook Page.

About Us

The company started in 1927 with a production of Iolanthe, which has been performed a total of 4 times,
only beaten by The Mikado, which has been performed 6 times.

We currently stage one main production a year, usually at Easter, at the lovely Zennor Theatre at Penwith College, Penzance, and concerts throughout the year. We raise funds for local charities at these concerts.

It's not always as frightening as this !

We range from 15 years of age upwards. Not only are we full of talented singers, actors and dancers, but we also have a great backstage and production team.  Without all the help behind the scenes no show would go on. We are eternally grateful for everyone’s support.

For our next big show, 'ANYTHING GOES', at Easter 2020, we started rehearsals on the first Thursday of October 2019 in Landithy Hall at Madron, and weekly thereafter. Rehearsals for principal roles also take place on Tuesdays at Marazion Town Hall. so great commitment is needed.

If you feel you have something to offer on or off stage, do please get in touch.

Friends - Patrons

We are very fortunate to have a large group of people who support us. Throughout the year we contact them to let them know what we are doing, so that they can attend the shows, concerts and other events. These Friends also have priority booking for our annual big show, and have their names printed in the show programme.  The Zennor Theatre at Penwith College can only accomodate an audience of 150, so seats are usually sold out quickly.
By supporting us, Friends have a booking advantage.
Should you wish to become an official Friend, do please let us know, using the Contact Us page.
Donations of £5 (and more !) are very welcome, and will be acknowledged.
